Windows 10 facilitates the development of unique Windows apps

Windows 10 is said to provide the app creators with new features and some more support enabling the app creators to come up with new and great suggestions and cool apps that will be able to run on every Windows device from small smartphones to large screens.

Microsoft came up with an official announcement about that, too, noting some details about that in a blog post addressed to app developers, particularly writing the following;

"Universal Windows apps and the ability to leverage the same code to deliver appropriately tailored experiences to multiple device types were the centerpiece of that announcement. They continue to be the cornerstone of the single Windows application platform announced by Terry (Myserson) and Joe (Belfiore) today. The most important thing you should take from today's announcements is that the best way to prepare for Windows 10 is to keep building universal Windows apps."

Among the details listed, the post also notes that "one consistent API layer with consistent UX design surfaces and flexible tools", also adding a new feature which allows those apps to run on the desktop on the basis of the windowed mode, alongside with the single download store, due to which they will make "it easier for you to reach customers in consistent and compelling ways no matter what type of device they're using."

However, this platform is still not recommended to be used as a primary OS for work as "The Windows App Certification Kit does not currently work on Windows 10 and there also a few bugs in the tools which mean that this combination can't be used for 'go live' software development."

Of course we do expect these features to become fully supported including all the basic and essential functions together with the ones that are offered opening a totally new platform for the app developers contributing to the quick development of Windows and Windows Phone apps.
