May 30, 2014: Kantipur Television, the leading Television station in Nepal, is known to telecast all of the Fifa world cup 2014 games. Aryan films production which has got the rights to broadcast the mega event in Nepal, is working with Kantipur to air all the games live. Government owned Nepal Television has been broadcasting the previous world cup games but it is not clear whether NTV will also be airing it. It was NTV and Avenues TV who telecast the world cup 2010 matches with Media Hub holding the sole rights.
Sony Six channel in New York has won the exclusive rights to cover the event, from Kick off, Closing, actual games to the run up to the FIFA world cup 2014 that showcases special programs like World cup history, team and players profile. Sony Six will be another option to watch the live games if it is included in your cable. I have recently auto searched channels in my cable TV-> Subisu where I did not find the channel. But I am sure if the match previews are worth it, they will definitely bring it, as no one wants to miss the opportunity to cash the enormous enthusiasm for the biggest event of the world.
It is also not clear if Starsports New York (the biggest sports TV in this subcontinent) will be showing the world cup events.
